New reports from Ipsos indicate that consumers in 11 key markets have strong intentions to buy mobile devices in 2008. The demand is especially notable in the world’s fastest growing economies – India, China, and Brazil. The type of demand in these countries differs slightly relative to demand in the US.

According to an internet statistics website , adoption of the internet in all parts of the world is still very much on the rise.  Africa and the Middle East have had increases of more than 1000 percent over the past 8 years. While having recorded the most growth by percentage of their populations, their internet users only make up 6.6 percent of the total internet population.
